Firstly, what’s the basic idea behind brain integration?
Just like we have a dominant hand (either left or right handed) we also have a dominant side of our brain (either left or right hemisphere) and although we can function at a very high level operating from one half of our brain it does not give us the full picture.
That is where brain integration comes into play. If we can activate both the right and left hemispheres of our brain it helps us to get into the zone so that we are able to drive the car at the unconscious level.
Driving the car at the unconscious level is super important for slashing seconds off your lap times. There are several ways to train your brain to react at the unconscious level however today we are going to focus on brain integration.
Below is an activity that will begin to integrate your brain, help you to relax and ultimately reduce your lap times.
Easy Activity 1: Cross Crawls This first exercise for brain integration is very simple and can be practiced anywhere (do it often – a couple of times a day). Especially do it just before you jump in your car for practice or the race.
While standing, raise your right leg, bending it at the knee, and bring your left arm over and touch the right knee. Return to standing. Then raise your left leg and touch the knee with your right hand. Return to standing, and then continue, alternating sides. You will find yourself marching in one place while alternately touching your knees with your opposite hand.
With the exercise you can alternate the pace that you do it at to achieve different results. If you slow it down you will find it puts more stress on your sense of balance, improving it over time. If you speed it up (until you are almost running on the spot), it can be used as a pre-race warm up as well as the all important brain integration exercise.
Brain integration is an essential part of development and co-ordination, it is integral when babies are first learning to crawl as they are also integrating their brain with the cross crawl movement!
Now if you practice these brain integration activities for a minimum of 2 minutes each morning. 2 minutes each evening and definitely for 2 minutes before you jump into the race car, I promise you you will see some astonishing results.

The British comic writer Terry Pratchett once wrote that you could tell that his office was a paperless office because you could see paper everywhere. Classrooms, like offices, will never be 100% free of papers, but integrating technology in the classroom is making the idea of a “paperless” classroom more feasible. How much easier would your job as a teacher be if you didn’t have a multitude of papers, books, black line masters, flash cards, attendance rolls, notes-to-send-home-to-parents, handouts and quiz sheets to cope with? Technology in the classroom is becoming more and more extensive. It would be a rare classroom today that doesn’t have at least one PC or laptop set up with a good internet connection, possibly even wireless, and nearly every classroom has its own VCR or DVD player, or at least, there’s a player that’s shared between two or three classrooms, depending on who’s using it today. Some classrooms have multiple computers, and some even have data projectors. Certainly, most schools would have a computer lab where each pupil can work individually on a computer.
Education at all levels today is becoming more and more computerised, so it is vital that your students don’t get left behind and they know how to use digital tools. They’ll be using them throughout their education, throughout their careers and throughout their lives, so the elementary classroom becomes a great place for them to get familiar with and start training in technology.
What are some easy ways that you can integrate technology and cut down on the amount of paper that you have floating around your classroom?
Use a spreadsheet for attendance. Once you’ve called the roll, you can email the result of who is and isn’t here to the secretary, or let him/her access it via the school’s intranet.
Use webquests instead of textbooks for some subjects. Use computer games instead of flash cards for drilling your students in time tables and spelling words. You can use online computer games or buy software for doing this. One of the better ones for multiplication is Times Attack from multiplication.com, which has the look and feel of a classic dungeon-style first-person-shooter game but provides an intensive drill in times tables.
Use videos and DVDs instead of textbooks to explain a concept. Videos and DVDs can also take the place of information handouts. Better still, online video clips can be used, and your students have the chance to re-view these as part of their revision.
Have your students submit papers and essays online. This prevents the “Didn’t you get it? I’m sure I turned it in” or “My printer jammed” excuses and prepares them for college which uses online school work submissions extensively. Let’s take a quick look and analyze your position in the Supply Chain. You are either the one driving the truck, the one pumping the gas, or the one paying the other two. It does not matter if you are a vendor, supplier, manufacturer, dealer, service supplier or customer, the cost of freight either impacts the amount you charge, the amount you are reimbursed or the price you pay. It is safe to assume that you are the center of the universe for your personal Supply Chain and that suppliers and customers revolve around your business. That was easy, now let’s move on.
A zeitgeist must first understand how the threads of history have been woven to reflect the patchwork quilt of the current generation, and only then endeavor to peer into the next. Let’s take a moment to contrast emerging communication technologies as reflected with Supply Chain Solutions and transportation.
The Pony Express
The famous Pony Express operated from April 1860 to November 1861. The cost of mail was $5 per 1/2 ounce, later reduced to $1 per 1/2 ounce. The quickest run took 7 days and 17 hours to carry President Lincoln’s inaugural address from St. Joseph, Missouri to Sacramento, California.
In 1825, British inventor William Sturgeon exhibited a device that laid the foundation for electronic communications, the electro-magnet. By 1830, an American, Joseph Henry used Sturgeon’s device to send an electric current over one mile of wire which caused a bell to strike. By 1838 Samuel Morse gave a public demonstration of an electromagnetic device that embossed dots and dashes on a piece of paper. Five years later, Congress funded development to construct an experimental telegraph line. On May 24, 1844, the message “What hath God wrought?” was transmitted from the Supreme Court chamber in the United States Capitol to an office in Baltimore and officially opened the first completed telegraph line. Western Union built a transcontinental telegraph line in 1861, and suddenly news by wire traveled faster and reached more people than the parcels by Pony.
On March 10, 1876 Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone. Telephones quickly surpassed telegraphs as lines were installed, because it brought instant communication and connectivity to the common man. Instant communication by phone quickly replaced Morse Code and Mail to stay connected.
Consolidated Freight, Low Rates and Speed
In 1907 James Casey borrowed $100 from a friend to establish the American Messenger System in Seattle, Washington. The 19 year old founded his company on the principles of courtesy, reliability and low rates. By 1913 his company acquired it’s first automobile to consolidate shipments and carry more goods. In 1919 the company changed it’s name to United Parcel Services, and in 1922 it acquired a Los Angeles company with innovative “common carrier” services. In 1929 UPS was the first package delivery company to use airlines, serving all US states by 1978.
On the first night of continuous operation In 1971, 14 Federal Express jets delivered 186 packages overnight to 25 cities. By 1981 Federal Express introduced the overnight letter and expanded service into Canada. In 1985, bar code labeling was introduced to trace packages. By 1995 FedEx acquires air routes with international authority to serve China. Ten years later FedEx announces development of a new Asia Pacific hub in China, and around the world flights Eastbound and Westbound.
The first recorded transcripts of a “Galactic Network” are attributed to J.C.R. Licklider of MIT in 1962. In 1964 Leonard Kleinrock of MIT published a book on the theoretical feasibility of communications using packet switching rather than circuits. The concept of open architecture networking was introduced by Kahn in 1972, and subsequently became known as a program called “Internetting”. In 1991 Modems transmitted data at 14.4 kilobits per second. Speeds doubled to 28.8k by 1994, and eventually to 56k. Meanwhile, Bob Metcalf and David Boggs had developed the Ethernet at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) in 1973. Xerox, DEC and Intel invested in development and agreed to make the technology free to anyone to build. By 1981 the technology emerged from the laboratory to the public as 3Com shipped the first Ethernet Hardware. As the ability to move parcels overnight has improved dramatically, so has the ability to transmit packets by increasingly high speed connections.
The Next Generation of Supply Chain Integration
Common approaches to improving the supply chain involve faster delivery or lower cost for transportation. Solutions are typically centered on geographic locations of hubs, consolidated carriers and maximized routes. In some cases the response is a galleria of products and processes housed in a consolidated campus, while another strategy promotes multiple regional facilities for geographic convenience. There is a common theme that the supply chain is viewed as a freight problem with a geographic solution. The dilemma of reducing cost is measured in time or transportation, with the scales continuously pivoting to and fro. Sometimes the objectives favor customer satisfaction, speed to market and the ability to deliver, while in other instances the burden favors the bottom line.
Fortunately there is an alternative. It is not about moving products more quickly, or choosing the most economical method of transportation, or the geography. The new objective for business is moving items less.
For years companies have utilized computers and internal IT development to create sophisticated reports that measure business according to antiquated rules. The idea that generating forecasts for purchasing and rotating inventory is based on the assumption that stock must be owned and managed in-house. IT development has been used to provide expanded reports and expedited processes based on existing procedures. This frequently results in a company investing millions of dollars to improve algorithms that forecast purchases, increasing manual intervention to correct predictions in direct proportion to the number of variables. Not surprisingly, such IT investments typically do not yield the desired bottom line results.
Next generation of Supply Chain Integration utilizes network connectivity with multiple vendors to reduce freight, transportation, geographical boundaries and in some cases ownership. IT development is focused on integrating partners in collective, secure and collaborative networks for shared visibility and planning. Data is moved more effectively and efficiently than products, parts or parcels. Ownership transfers when orders transmit, and inventory is managed in a manner that mitigates movement. Vendor Managed Inventory can be achieved simultaneously with multiple vendors and numerous customer partners through sophisticated impartial third party integrators. The exchange of products and purchases can be replaced by a data exchange, creating total cost reductions that benefit the bottom line.
The next generation of Supply Chain Integration can be achieved by major manufacturers, dealers, distributors and service providers through third party integration and common platforms. The greatest savings in the supply chain are not related to a truck, a plane or a warehouse. The greatest efficiencies in the supply chain are coming from IT. Much like the impact of the telephone and telegraph to the Pony Express, the Internet is providing the next generation of improvements for our supply chain.
This concept is already entrenched in e-commerce. Individuals operating home based businesses are selling goods on eBay, procuring supply in direct proportion to demand. It is not uncommon for individuals to sell products on eBay that are acquired from a local vendor or craftsman. The seller on eBay is the impartial third party integrator between the supply and the demand, leveraging the convenience of the Internet to connect the interested parties. This is a very simple example of using technology to minimize inventory ownership by maximizing technology. Imagine how much more effective the solution can be for complex integration of multiple suppliers with diverse geographic locations and reduced transfer of inventory. This is the concept of the next generation of Supply Chain Integration.

America has emerged into a big melting pot. Why is it so difficult to deal with integrating America’s schools? Let’s review magnet school programs as an example. Some critics suggest that magnet schools increase racial tension thereby decreasing student performance. I would say that it isn’t the magnet schools that increase racial tension. I would consider the environment and other external variables. Given the transformation of the nation’s public schools, American students are enjoying a wealth of diversity. However, magnet schools operate under a strategic fallacy. Let’s look closer.
Magnet schools were created to attract suburban kids to poor, urban schools. Magnet schools were a market-driven approach to desegregation as opposed to federal courts and government agencies demanded race-conscious policies (Armor & Rossell, 2001). These mandatory desegregation plans created several issues. For example, many white parents started a massive withdrawal of their children from public schools into private, segregated academies. This resulted in the demise of public schools by withdrawal of crucial financial support. This left the public schools under funded and inferior (Levin, 1999).
By 1986, there were only 3 percent of the nation’s white school-aged children enrolled in the twenty-five largest urban districts; however, large urban districts are predominately white and middle class (Levin, 1999). Furthermore, whites students of all racial groups, are the most isolated, where more than three quarters (78 percent) of their peers are white. Therefore, many minorities are not exposed to white students than would be expected of the nation’s public schools (Orfield and Lee, 2006).
Today, blacks and Hispanics comprise 56.1 percent of students in the urban areas (Levin, 1999). Many fear the inner city environment. Therefore, the wealthiest and brightest retreat to the suburbs and other places. Parents, teachers, educators, legislators, and other supports ponder if these problems can be fixed.

Taxation in our country has been a factor, which so far has led to increased investment, despite that not all scholars may think in this direction. But they must be part of continuous and transparent information to the Albanian public, so that the “trial” of the Albanian society groups have more information for them processed and in this way to achieve and make the appropriate pressure depending on the interests of bilateral social groups, parliament and government.
Movement and change of geographical location map of Albanian businesses is a phenomenon that is impacting the goals and administration efforts to expand the taxable base. This expansion, in which the tax authority has not benefited the large increase in the income tax, has led to shrinkage of the exploitation of human resources according to business mobility. In other words, this means that the structural organization of human resource of tax administration are concentrated mostly in the metropolitan area around Tirana (capital), while business expansion map has gone close to natural resources or lower human resources areas or not trained as needed for control and tax assessment. Order to fit mobility management function of current and future but businesses would be concentration on the basis of administrative prefectures and not as we are until nowadays. Meanwhile, current tax branch, with a lower taxable base will may be functional for the administration of local taxes and personal income tax if they are closely connected with insurance contributions in order to offer quality services coming from experience gained in the central tax administration of these employees.
The threat it has brought that taxable income base in the following years has distorted the implementation of management policies that would be more effective than that. Not all bases are taxable and the same mobile non taxation case of some of these bases is part of distorted taxable of fiscal management. Non application of consumption tax (VAT) on transactions of financial instruments have made the “boil” an income tax, who have not served to strengthen the banking system in terms of its main functions, lending to the levels required by the market and increased flexibility of the system of lending.
Most important factors that explain the concentration of taxpayers with higher incomes in particular geographic areas are settled and infrastructure quality public service-oriented local in help of economy and as a result to nation. Although fees and taxes are the means to affect this concentration we cannot say that it is the most important factor.
In this period of economic growth in a transition environment, the recommendations made by foreign monitors itself has provided assistance by helping the government to make their implementation in a coordinated way and by raising on this basis, the system monitoring the application of these recommendations.

The only ones that have won have been individuals who now feel strong and rich, those who have lost are the states who have unmet services standards and integration time that is required.

Not all children with autism have sensory problems among their symptoms, but when present they are among the first to become noticeable. Sensory issues can range from being hypersensitive or, at the other end of the scale, having a lack of response to many types of stimulation.
